Salomon Strive 16 MN Ski Bindings Black/White
A powerful Multi Norm freeride binding for expert skiers who demand maximum retention, exceptional durability and precise control across the whole mountain.
The Salomon Strive 16 MN is built for aggressive freeride, freestyle and all-mountain skiing. Its DIN range of 7–16 and reinforced construction provide the retention and stability required by powerful skiers and riders who regularly encounter high speeds, heavy landings and demanding snow conditions.
The ultra-low-profile LDN Toe positions the boot close to the ski, creating a direct connection and helping the binding respond quickly throughout the turn. A wide 72mm anti-friction device and extra-wide toe pedal distribute pressure across a broad area, providing a stable platform and effective lateral power transmission on modern freeride skis.
Multi Norm certification and Manual Toe Height Adjustment allow a trained technician to configure the binding for compatible Alpine, GripWalk and touring-norm adult boot soles. Its 47mm of elastic travel helps the binding absorb heavy impacts and allows the boot to recentre before releasing, reducing the likelihood of unwanted release during aggressive skiing.
At the rear, the widebody 3-Part Metal Heel creates a strong connection between the skier and ski, with the durability, retention and impact resistance needed for uncompromising freeride performance. At 1125g per binding, the Strive 16 MN prioritises strength and stability while retaining the close-to-the-ski feel of the Strive platform.

FEATURES & TECHNOLOGY
- Multi Norm Compatibility: Compatible with Alpine, GripWalk and touring-norm adult ski-boot soles when correctly adjusted by a trained technician.
- LDN Toe: The ultra-low-profile toe positions the boot close to the ski for improved terrain feedback, quicker response and efficient power transmission.
- Manual Toe Height Adjustment: Allows a trained technician to configure the toe height for different compatible boot-sole standards.
- 47mm Elastic Travel: Generous elastic movement helps the binding absorb heavy impacts and allows the boot to recentre, reducing the likelihood of unwanted release.
- 72mm AFD Pad: A wide anti-friction device increases the contact area beneath the boot for improved stability and lateral power transmission.
- Extra-Wide Toe Pedal: Creates a broad platform beneath the boot for stable and efficient power transfer to the ski.
- XL Wings: Longer toe wings wrap securely around the front of the boot for controlled power transmission and dependable retention.
- Sliding Toe Pedal: A spring-mounted anti-friction device supports controlled lateral movement, recentring and reliable release during a fall.
- Low-Profile Chassis: Keeps the skier close to the ski for improved snow feel, stability and precise control.
- Neutral Stance: Positions the skier in a balanced stance while preserving the ski’s natural flex and arc.
- Widebody 3-Part Metal Heel: A reinforced metal heel provides strong retention, lateral stability and durability for high-impact freeride and freestyle skiing.
- Metal Construction: Metal is used extensively in high-load areas to withstand the forces generated by powerful skiing and repeated heavy impacts.
- Locking Brakes: The brake arms click together to make the skis easier to carry over the shoulder.
- TÜV Certified: Independently certified to the applicable alpine-binding safety standard.
COMPATIBILITY
- Compatible with Alpine ISO 5355, GripWalk ISO 23223 and compatible Touring ISO 9523 adult ski-boot soles.
- Multi Norm compatibility refers to the shape and standard of the boot sole. This is an alpine binding and does not provide an uphill touring or walk function.
- The binding is not compatible with pin-only touring boots that lack suitable alpine-binding contact surfaces.
- The toe height and binding settings must be checked and adjusted by a trained ski technician whenever the boot or sole standard is changed.
- Choose a brake approximately equal to the ski’s waist width. A brake up to around 10mm wider than the ski is normally suitable.
WARRANTY
- Two-year manufacturer’s warranty.
FREE BINDING MOUNTING
- Purchase these bindings with a pair of skis from our store and we’ll mount and set them up free of charge. Once your order has been received, we’ll contact you to request the skier’s height, weight, age and ability, together with the ski boot’s sole length in millimetres.
- Ski bindings are safety equipment and must be mounted, adjusted and release-tested by a suitably trained ski technician before use. The DIN setting should not be selected from ability or personal preference alone.
