Salomon Strive 12 GW Ski Bindings Oil Fluid/Black
A lightweight, low-profile all-mountain binding that combines responsive power transfer, generous elastic travel and straightforward GripWalk compatibility.
The Salomon Strive 12 GW is designed for intermediate and advanced skiers who want a responsive, versatile binding without the additional weight or higher release range of a DIN 14 model. Its DIN range of 4–12 makes it suitable for a broad range of adult skiers exploring groomed pistes, mixed snow and freestyle terrain.
The ultra-low-profile LDN Toe positions the boot close to the ski, creating a direct connection and helping the binding respond quickly when moving from edge to edge. A wide 72mm anti-friction device and extra-wide toe pedal distribute pressure across a broad area, providing a stable platform on modern all-mountain and freeride skis.
Automatic Wing and Toe Adjustment accommodates compatible Alpine and GripWalk adult boot soles without requiring manual toe-height adjustment. The binding also provides 47mm of elastic travel, helping it absorb impacts and allowing the boot to recentre before releasing.
At the rear, Salomon’s lightweight 3-Part Heel combines straightforward step-in operation with vibration absorption and controlled release. At 930g per binding, the Strive 12 GW delivers dependable downhill performance while keeping weight and swing weight manageable.

FEATURES & TECHNOLOGY
- LDN Toe: The low, direct and neutral toe places the boot closer to the ski for improved terrain feedback, quicker response and efficient power transmission.
- Automatic Wing & Toe Adjustment: Automatically adapts to compatible Alpine and GripWalk adult boot soles, helping to maintain consistent contact and release performance.
- 47mm Elastic Travel: Generous elastic movement helps absorb impacts and allows the boot to recentre, reducing the likelihood of unwanted release during aggressive skiing.
- 72mm AFD Pad: A wide anti-friction device increases the contact area beneath the boot for improved stability and lateral power transmission.
- Extra-Wide Toe Pedal: The broad platform distributes pressure effectively across the ski and provides a stable feel on wider ski shapes.
- XL Wings: Longer toe wings wrap securely around the front of the boot for controlled power transmission and dependable retention.
- Sliding Toe Pedal: A spring-mounted anti-friction device allows controlled lateral movement and recentring to support reliable release during a fall.
- Low-Profile Chassis: A low stand height improves snow feel and creates a more direct connection between the skier and ski.
- Neutral Stance: The binding positions the skier in a balanced stance while allowing the ski to flex naturally.
- 3-Part Heel: A lightweight, low-profile heel construction that absorbs vibration while providing smooth, friction-free release when required.
- Arch Heel: Reinforcement across the heel housing improves lateral support and power transmission.
- Glass-Fibre Reinforced Polyamide: A reinforced construction that balances durability, controlled flex and reduced weight.
- Locking Brakes: The brake arms click together to make the skis easier to carry over the shoulder.
- TÜV Certified: Independently certified to the applicable alpine-binding safety standard.

FREE BINDING MOUNTING
- Purchase these bindings with a pair of skis from our store and we’ll mount and set them up free of charge. Once your order has been received, we’ll contact you to request the skier’s height, weight, age and ability, together with the ski boot’s sole length in millimetres.
- Ski bindings are safety equipment and must be mounted, adjusted and release-tested by a suitably trained ski technician before use. The DIN setting should not be selected from ability or personal preference alone.
