Marker 3D+ OTIS 2017 Ski & Snowboard Goggles Black - Yellow Plasma Mirror Lens

The 3D+ OTIS highlights one innovation after another, including a lens and clasp system that is the quickest and easiest lens-changing system in our collection. This CONVERTIBLE LENS TECHNOLOGY eliminates the annoying fumbling associated with lens changes. The three-point Click-In´n´Lock system allows for lightning-fast lens swaps. 3D+ OTIS models also add an integrated 3mm MAP PROTECTION layer to the extremely soft, triple-layer Xdry face foam. During a crash it absorbs impacts, protecting the sensitive areas around the eye sockets and cheekbones. The flexible MAP layer molds itself perfectly to the shape of the face, ensuring that the goggles sit just right.

MAP PROTECTION

MARKER MAP PROTECTION is an innovative, closed-cell foam delivering multi-impact absorption. It was developed in cooperation with the University of Bologna, which provided scientific consulting for the entire project. The specific weight of MAP is extremely low compared with previous protective materials. Under normal conditions, MAP is pleasantly soft and flexible, ensuring maximum freedom of movement and comfort. Upon impact, MAP begins to stiffen even while the strike is still happening, absorbing energy. Thanks to its multi-impact properties, the foam resumes its original form almost instantaneously, ensuring the best protection even against multiple, rapid impacts.

Testing has shown that MAP offers unique and outstanding impact absorption at levels unmatched by other products on the market. These properties allow MAP pads and protectors to be used at thicknesses up to 28% less than those required with other products. MAP also performs at a high level in all temperature ranges.

XDRY TRIPLE LAYER MAP FACE FOAM

Extremely comfortable and extra soft! The three-layer XDry construction helps produce an optimal fit and outstanding performance. The soft external fleece layer that touches the face absorbs moistures and transports it away from the skin.

NMT OPTICS (3RD EYELID)

Marker has developed the revolutionary NMT OPTICS coating for all lenses (except 4:3). It works similarly to the extra membrane or third eyelid that many animals have to provide extra protection to their eyes. NMT OPTICS (Nictitating Membrane Technology) have an extremely scratch-resistant surface that always supplies the best possible clarity. It prevents water, grease, or dust from sticking, and moisture wicks away immediately. Fingerprints, dust and sweat have no surface to cling to, and are easy to remove. Our NMT-coated lenses offer crystal-clear visibility for years.

MARKAIR VENT SYSTEM

All goggle frames are outfitted with the progressive MarkAIR VENT SYSTEM. Design and air flow are engineered simultaneously so that there is perfect lens ventilation and the unobstructed flow of air is guaranteed along the helmet and its MarkAIR CHANNEL SYSTEM. This keeps the inside of the lenses dry and fog-free. The breathable foam behind the inlets and outlets reliably resist the penetration of snow and moisture.

DUAL BIONOMIC SPHERICAL LENSES

MARKER DUAL BIONOMIC lenses are designed in a double-lens construction with an integrated thermal blocker. All lenses are oriented to the curvature of the human eye to ensure that objects seen through the goggles are accurately represented and undistorted. Unlike traditional, non-progressively tapered standard lenses, our lenses feature Bionomic Curve Lens Technology (quality class 1, ANSI Z87.1) that deliver undistorted light beams directly to the eye, which ensures 100% correct vision that doesn’t strain the eye.

SUPERFIT FRAME DESIGN

MARKER goggles feature optimally fitted foam for superior comfort and functionality. The shapes of the frames and the materials used in the goggles play a decisive role in this. We manufacture all SUPERFIT FRAMES from highly-elastic ELASTOGRAN (Made in Germany), which means the goggles automatically hug the contour of the wearer’s face. ELASTROGRAN retains its full flexibility regardless of how cold it is outside. The MARKER V-SPLIT NOSE also helps ensure unmatched fit, as they adapt to the shape of the nose automatically, and seal without pinching or pressing.

45MM STRAP WITH SILICON ANTI-SLIP COATING

The high-quality, durable goggle straps distribute the pressure around the head for the perfect hold without irritating pressure points. Thanks to the heat applied silicon coating on the interior of the goggle straps, they sit rock-solid on any helmet for slip-free performance.

MARKER HELMET/GOGGLE INTEGRATION

Polarized MARKER lenses made of TAC (Tri Acetate Cellulose) stand out with superior visual acuity. They absorb a maximum of dispersed light to provide improved contrast. The result a reflection-free, more clearly defined vision that allows you to see and assess the terrain more effectively.

NEOPRENE BOX

All goggles come in a lightweight neoprene box with a zipper to make transport and storage easier. The soft lining protects the goggles, while the vent holes allow for quick moisture evaporation.

Sizing Guides

Sizing Charts

To help you to work out sizings, we have devised the following size guide. It is generic and not specific to any particular brand so especially with clothing it is best to either call for our opinion or cross reference the manufacturers individual size guides. Please click one of the links to get to the relevant chart below:

Ski length, Snowboard length, Snowboard Bindings, Boot sizes, Clothing sizes, Glove sizes.

Ski length

We have devised a simple chart to assist you in selecting your correct ski length. If you require any further assistance, our staff will be only to happy to help.

Weight (stones) 5-6 6-7 7-7.5 7.5-8.5 8.5-9.5 10-10.75 11-11.25 12.5-13.5 13.5+
Weight (kilos) 32-38 38-43 43-47 48-54 57-62 63-69 70-79 80-86 87+
Length (cm's) 125 135 145 155 160 165 170 170 175

Level 1/2 Level 3 Level 4 Level 5/6 Level 7/8 Level 9/10
Skiing for the first time Able to ski green/blue runs Able to ski Blue/Red runs Able to ski all pisted runs in good conditions Able to ski all runs on/off piste in good conditions Able to ski anywhere on the mountain
-15cm -10cm -5cm 0 cm +5cm +10cm

1. Select your weight level. The ski length at the bottom of your weight column is your suggested starting length.

2. Now select your abilty level, the amount in cms at the bottom of your ability level is added to or subtracted from your starting length.

3. Add a further 5cm if you are spending 60% or more of your time off Piste.

4. By adding the above together you will have found your recommended ski length.

By adding your Ski length to your ability you will have found your recommended ski length. For example a person weighing 75kg, who is a level 7 skier will ski on length of 170 + 5cms = 175cms.

This ski length chart is a guide as not all skis end in 5 or 0 cms and therefore suggest you ski closest to the recommended length

Snowboard Length

Snowboard sizing is determined purely by weight. Ability determines flex - beginners should choose a board with a softer more forgiving flex, whilst more advanced riders would normally prefer a stiffer board.
